From April 2023, the TRA newsletter will be changing into something that is open for all residents to subscribe to. Further information about how to sign up will be coming soon. 


Free Energy Saving kits

We are offering free energy saving kits to help those who are struggling to pay their energy bills this winter. 

If you live in Lambeth and are struggling to pay your energy bills, you can collect a free energy saving kit for your household from your local library.


KENNINGTON PARK COMMUNITY CENTRE

Kennington Park Community Centre

Free warm space at Kennington Park Community Centre on Mondays from 12.30 to 2.30pm.

Now offering hot food, cooked on the premises, as well as creative and exercise workshops, games, and a warm welcome to anyone who just wants to have a cuppa and a chat.

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning is running a series of free creative programming and production workshops.

Are you a budding creative producer or programmer looking to kick start your career in the industry? Have you always wondered what it takes, or wanted to get your idea for an event off the ground? Are you 18 to 30 and based in Lambeth? Join us for our next series of workshops on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 to 24 February.

Dog-related ASB consultation

We are asking people for their views on a new proposed Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). The need for a PSPO has arisen due to an increase in dog-related antisocial behaviour in the borough. The consultation starts on 13 February and runs until 26 March 2023.

The Remakery is offering free DIY workshops! Are you tired of high energy bills & feeling drafty in your own home? Want to learn how to make your home more energy efficient? Look no further! Workshops starting 14 February 2023.


Black Cultural Archives Podcast

Black Cultural Archive

The Black Cultural Archives podcast production programme will equip you with all the necessary experience to producing a podcast from recording and editing to producing and marketing.

This 5 week course will give you the tools needed to entirely produce BCA's first ever podcast to be released to the public in June 2023.

The programme is an opportunity for young people to get hands on experience in media, production and podcasting. Trainees will be officially trained on the logistics of recording such as sound quality and handling audio equipment.

Lambeth’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy

Lambeth’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy sets out our plans to make the borough safer for everyone. To support this we are setting up a panel of ​experts by experience’, local people who have experienced violence and abuse. We would like to hear from you.

There are two focus groups in February and March 2023. Participants will each receive a £25 Love2Shop voucher and their travel costs will be covered (receipts required).

Keeping Children Safe Online

Free workshops for parents and carers who want to gain knowledge about the online world and how to keep children and young people safe. Learn about the current apps that are being used, potential risks, and how children may be exploited online.

Morning course – Wednesday, 15 March, 11am-12pm

Evening course – Wednesday, 22 March, 5pm-6pm


Lambeth Early Action Partnership

Mimi Mobo

LEAP presents Mini Mobo a fun and engaging music session for little ones run by carnival music group KinetikaBloco.

This will be fun and easy music session that focuses on music of black origin. We will be celebrating local culture in an engaging and energetic way using instruments. The session will be aimed toward toddlers aged 1 to 3 years, but all are welcome.

At Angell Delight, Fairfax House, Overton Road, Brixton, SW9 7JR, on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:30am.


POhWER Advocacy

POhWER a registered charity and the provider of the Independent Health Complaints Advocacy in Lambeth.

The Independent Heath Complaints Advocacy Service can help you make a complaint about the National Health Service. The service is free and confidential.

People want different outcomes when they complain such as an apology, an explanation or an improvement to NHS services.

Anyone can ask for advocacy support with an NHS complaint by contacting us. We can use interpreters if English is not a first language.

Dementia Services

Age UK Lambeth | Dementia Services Our Dementia services are drop-in groups open to anyone affected by dementia, including carers. We offer a range of activities, from arts and crafts to singing, music, and summer day trips. You’ll always find a good chat, a cuppa and lots of laughter! 

No attendance fee. No need to book, just drop by. Free parking and disabled access. Refreshments, fun, companionship and support. Please check out full details of dates and venues.
