Brixton Windmill Winter Market Helpers - Sun 11 Dec
Now a well established annual free event with outdoor stalls, adult & children’s craft workshops and more as well as a Christmas choir and Santa’s Grotto. Friends of Windmill Gardens are looking for volunteers to help and steward this popular local event on Sunday 11 December. Tasks include setting up (10.30 to 12pm), stewarding and gatekeeping (two slots - 11.30 to 2pm and 1.30 to 4pm), and clearing up after the event (3.30 to 5pm). BUD Leaders Volunteer Skill Sharing Workshop
Calling all volunteers interested in sharing skills for positive change!
BUD Leaders are inviting you to a LIVE skills sharing and vision-building workshop on Tuesday 10 January 2023 where you will skills match with local black-led organisations for change in a fun and interactive environment.
As part of the workshop, you will also be able to co-create new project ideas and set your own personal goals for 2023.
BUD Leaders are looking for individuals with a range of skills including but not limited to basic admin, fundraising, bid-writing, social media, cooking and research.

One-to-one Befrienders at Centre 70
Centre 70 is an Advice and Counselling service that has been at the heart of West Norwood since 1970. They are offering one-to-one befriending for local people as part of their new Wellbeing Service, this is a face to face service which aims to connect people together with their community.
Would you like to volunteer at Centre 70? BECOME one of their local Community Befrienders?
Meet up with someone in the local community who is feeling lonely or isolated once a week for a couple of hours, spend some time with the person to get to know each other while going for a walk or visiting a cafe... Listen, chat and share stories. You could even try a new activity together!

Vision Foundation - Volunteer Retail Assistants for West Norwood Charity Shop
Vision Foundation is looking for creative people with an interest in retail to help in their shops across London. You will be helping on the shop floor to price and display our donated goods as well as operating the till and delivering excellent customer service to both their new and existing customers. By sharing just a few hours of your time each week, you can gain experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment, develop new skills and make new friends.
Volunteers are at the heart of everything they do here at Vision Foundation and every hour you contribute helps them to transform the lives of people facing or living with sight loss.
