We understand increases in the cost of living are impacting our residents. We’re committed to doing what we can to help you, and want to highlight some new schemes that you may be eligible for.
Apply for support from Lambeth Council
We offer support to residents who are struggling to make ends meet and need help to pay their bills and get food on the table. You may be eligible to apply for one of our following schemes:

Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP) - this helps residents who need more financial help with their housing costs. It can be paid on top of your normal Housing Benefit.

Discretionary Council Tax Support Hardship Payment (DCTSHP) helps residents who need support with their council tax bill. It can be paid on top of Council Tax Support.
Apply online directly via our trusted partner, Lightning Reach. It takes just minutes to confirm if you’re eligible and submit an application.
Lightning Reach can also help you discover if you are eligible for other support within Lambeth. This includes our Emergency Support Scheme for residents facing hardship or an emergency, Disabled Facilities Grant if you are disabled and need improvements to your home, food banks and more.

Helping you find a range of support
As well as being able to apply directly for Lambeth's schemes, the free Lightning Reach portal can also help you to find support from a range of other charitable grants quickly and easily.
The portal can also help direct you to other support providers where you may be eligible to apply for support directly on their websites, including discounted social tariffs to help you save money on your internet and mobile/phone bills.
Lightning Reach is continually adding new support partners to the portal, with recent additions including the Royal British Legion and RAF Benevolent Fund. By creating a profile now you’ll help Lightning Reach show you what support is available to you now, as well as notify you of support you may be eligible for in the future.
