 Vision Foundation is looking for volunteer warehouse assistants
Vision Foundation considers itself to be London’s leading sight loss charity, supporting the city’s best projects for blind and partially sighted people.
Vision Foundation is looking for volunteers for a number of roles, details of which are available here. Vision are particularly looking for Warehouse Assistants. Based in their Donations and Online Sales Hub in West Norwood, you will be responsible for quality checking items to be sold in their shops and via Vision Foundation's eBay community.
This could be anything from on trend fashion pieces to rare and vintage items. You’ll make decisions about pricing and quality. No one day is the same when working in their warehouse where you will join the team to assist in all aspects of warehouse management. Further details available here.
 Rathbone Society Inspiring Learning Mentors
A significant number of children and young people in Lambeth are from refugee and asylum-seeking families. The pandemic has put additional pressure on the lives and education of these disadvantaged young people and further exacerbated this attainment gap and inequality. Digital poverty has been a big barrier to young people’s access to and full participation in education.
Rathbone Society's Inspiring Learning Project has been running for the last three years and has supported 90 young people.
Rathbone are looking for volunteers who can commit an hour a week for at least six months to help a student – between Y7 and Y11– with their homework and/or revision in one subject, for example English (many students come from households where English is not the first language), Maths, History or Science. Study support sessions are online, starting 4pm. onwards.

 Age UK Lambeth Home Cooks
Age UK Lambeth are looking for volunteers who love cooking and can deliver a meal to someone in their local community who may not have access to a hot meal, for all sorts of reasons. This could be a one-off meal, a weekly meal, every couple of weeks, even twice a week – it’s completely up to you to decide who you would like to cook for, and when, based on your favourite foods, your availability and where you are located.  Coram Beanstalk Trained Reading Helper
Coram Beanstalk creates readers because when a child becomes a reader, they get the very best chance in life, and every child deserves that.
Coram Beanstalk believes that life is better when everyone can read well and express themselves with confidence. That's why they recruit, train and support volunteers to work with primary aged children to help them find a love of reading.
Coram's volunteers work one-to-one with children who would benefit from dedicated time with an adult who can help them with their reading and communication skills. If you choose to volunteer as a Trained Reading Helper, You will be working in a local primary school two afternoons a week.
Coram Beanstalk provides training and support throughout your role as a volunteer.
