We are pleased to share some of the great summer activities that residents put on recently and here are a few highlights:
Tulse Hill Estate
On Saturday 20 August, Tulse Hill Estate had a Fun Day. The event was led the TRA, funded by the council, and supported by partners including High Trees Community Development Trust, GLOWS, and Tree Shepherd.
The aim was to bring residents together for a day of activities. Children and adults enjoyed sumo wrestling, multisport activities, massages, henna and face painting. And there was lovely food provided for everyone.
The highlight of the day was the Mas Africa children carnival parade and Somos Chibchas Latin Folklore group.

Fern Lodge Estate
The Nature Vibbezz summer programme returned following the pandemic hiatus.
Throughout the summer young people from Streatham and Norwood gathered at the Fern Lodge Community Centre on a daily basis.
They visited parks and open spaces in the South of the borough, where many hidden treasure were discovered including a fantastic house (pictured) close to Streatham Common.
The project. led by Douglas Saucedo and John Cannell from Nature Vibbezzz, met its stated aim of bringing together young people from various estates to share stories and personal experiences. It was an unforgettable summer.

Lothian Estate
We hosted a Community Action & Fun Day on 31 August which was a great success.
Contractors carried out small improvements, weeding and tidying and listed to resident valuable feedback about services.
The festivities included free food, soap making, henna hand painting, ludo and entertainment from Carnival Children’s dance troop from Mas Africa, the traditional Colombian all female dancers Somos Chibchas.
