This newsletter is your regular roundup of available support for Lambeth's businesses.
The council is committed to supporting businesses to start and grow in the borough, and I am grateful to all the organisations and partnerships supporting this mission.
Our businesses face unprecedented challenges through a crisis in the costs of living and trading. Lambeth's politicians and business leaders recently wrote to the Chancellor, urging him to support businesses facing higher fuel bills, on top of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit. We will continue to advocate on behalf of our business communities.
Cllr Jacqui Dyer, Deputy Leader of the Council (Inclusive Economy and Equalities)

Sign up to the Women's Night Safety Charter
London is a safe city, but too many women feel unsafe when travelling, working, or going out at night. That's why the Mayor and Night Czar have created the Women’s Night Safety Charter: to make London a city where all women feel confident and welcome at night.
As part of this we are looking to grow the signatory to 1500 or more signatories by the end of March 2023 from the current 925 signatories. We are excited to be working with Lambeth Council and partners to encourage businesses and organisations in Vauxhall and surrounding areas to sign up to the charter and be part of the change for women’s safety.
Please scan the QR code above to take you directly to the registration form to sign up to the charter. Or for further information please visit the website.

Lambeth High-Speed Connect Scheme helps another local business connect to high-speed internet
Vault Creative Arts have recently been connected to full fibre internet thanks to the help of the Lambeth High Speed Connect Scheme. Their internet speed has increased from just 8mbps to over 100mbps. The new connection will allow them to video call more reliably and access software in the cloud with ease. They are also able to offer free reliable internet to the local community via their newly opened cafe/bar/performance space 'The Glitch'.
Liz Arday from VAULT Creative Arts said that the new connection "has proved invaluable to the quality and consistency of operations and we are incredibly grateful to Lambeth for removing the financial barriers to upgrading"
