With Thames Water, we're taking action to reduce heat and flood risk whilst making our borough greener by investing in a £6m Sustainable urban Drainage System (SuDS) programme.
The SuDS will be made up of different solutions across Lambeth from trees to wetlands aimed at improving natural drainage and reducing pressure on our sewage system.

Trees are crucial for trapping carbon, keeping us cool and cleaning our air, but recent hot weather has put them at risk.
London is facing drought warnings so we're being careful about the amount of water we use. However, by trapping surplus water (from washing up or showers) you can still feed our newly planted trees.

Our Healthy Routes scheme developing safe, low traffic routes has seen five new "parklets" created at The Cut in Waterloo in partnership with Cyclehoop.
Local residents and businesses are now benefitting from cycle parking, public seatin and green planters.
