Tell us your ideas for community climate action

mawbey

Do you have an unused community shared space? Have a planet-friendly idea you want to bring to life with your neighbours?

This July, on Mawbey Brough estate residents, community groups and businesses came together in their shared space to test practical ideas to reduce our impact on the planet whilst having fun - from clothes swapping to bike repairing.

We want to know how we can empower more community climate action.

Do your bit to help clean up Lambeth's air

wood stove

We marked Clean Air Day by asking residents to pledge to Stop Wood Burning in their homes.

As Lambeth respiratory expert Dr Jane Smith explains, burning wood is the biggest contributor to toxic PM2.5 pollution in the borough.

Take the pledge

Give back with green fingers

Horticulture

We've stopped using toxic chemical glyphosate on our weeds and replaced this with manual weeding.

You can get involved too by taking part in our much-loved Community Weeding Scheme.
