Hello,
Last week, you put your trust in our administration to continue leading our wonderful borough. We are immensely proud to have received your support and we will work hard every day to repay your trust.
People in Lambeth are facing some big challenges over the next few years. However, we know that with our ambitious agenda and by working hand in hand with our communities as we have done during the Covid-19 pandemic, we can help people through the cost-of-living crisis, transform our borough into a truly sustainable place fit for the future; and put young people first by giving them the best start in life.
We have hit the ground running and are already hard at work. Together, we will continue to make Lambeth a fairer, more equal borough for all.

The results of Lambeth’s elections, which took place on Thursday 5 May, were announced last Friday following a long day of counting at the Oval Cricket Ground.
- As a result of the poll the Labour Party control the council and will form a new administration.
- 63 councillors were elected to the council across 25 brand new wards, as this was the first election since the LGBCE reviewed the electoral map of the borough.
- The council now has 58 Labour, 3 Liberal Democrats and 2 Green Party councillors.
- A new Cabinet headed by leader-elect Councillor Claire Holland will be presented to a meeting of full Council on May 25.
View full results broken down by ward and political party on the Lambeth website.
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved over the two-day operation, including voters, candidates, and staff. Over 500 staff members worked across 142 polling stations, Lambeth Town Hall, and Kia Oval, where the count took place.
