Lambeth Parent Champions talk to other parents about local family services and support them to access early years services and childcare – all while developing new skills and meeting new people. We’re looking for parents with young children who are passionate about their community and would like to help families in and around the Brixton Hill/Clapham area. Your knowledge and experience can help other parents in Lambeth find out about childcare and family services.
This is a flexible volunteering opportunity with full training and support and can be done in your own time around childcare commitments.

 Paintin' The Lambeth Walk - Oi! - Repainting the Lambeth Walk Murals
Do you like to "do" art? Enjoy making new friends? Come and have fun and a light lunch - Painting the Lambeth Walk, Oi! - with community film, media and design education and training charity, Creative Sparkworks. They will be on the Lambeth Walk, every Friday from 10.30-1pm creating some brilliant artwork for Lambeth Walk Square - Email them to join in
 Helpers Needed at Brixton Rec Food Hub
Healthy Living Platform is a Charity offering activities that benefit the health and well-being of the community.
To help families during COVID-19, Healthy Living Platform set up an emergency food hub inside Brixton Rec which arranges for surplus food to be distributed to local community centres.
Volunteers are needed to help inside the hub, packing and moving crates of food and unloading/loading delivery vans.
There are short morning and afternoon shifts available - three hours in the morning, two in the afternoon

 Age UK Lambeth Gateway Support Line
MYcommunity Lambeth Gateway service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-4pm. This line is open to anyone, over the age of 18, with questions or concerns around accessing support and services. Queries range from access to food and shopping, access to medications and offering reassurance and emotional support.
Age UK Lambeth are looking for volunteers to help them with covering their helpline to ensure they can provide support, reassurance and a friendly ear to as many Lambeth residents as possible.
Volunteers will support with answering the helpline, answering queries and offering reassurance to all callers.
