Public Affairs Free Training Programme (I Have a Voice)
This programme is aimed at Lambeth residents ages 18 – 30 from low income households, with only 24 spaces available.
I Have a Voice have created this training programme with the aim to prepare people for employment in the public affairs sector. Which includes roles such as Government affairs, Crisis Communications and Media Relations. They have partnered with several employers in the sector who will offer London Living Wage to at least 6 of the trainees. Ongoing free mentoring with be provided to the remaining trainees. Travel and food costs will be reimbursed for the duration of the programme. Steps and Sparks to Work (Creative Sparkworks Present)
Steps and Sparts have a free film skill and employment training course starting on March 4 for 3 months. The course includes technical craft skills, 1-2-1 industry mentors, job search skills and industry links to paid work experience.

Youth Club (Big Kid Foundation)
Big Kid Foundation host a weekly youth club Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays 4-6pm for young people aged 11-18. They have Thursday dedicated to young people aged 18+ 4-7pm. Activities include media, basketball, games, anime, boxing and podcasts.

Kinetika Bloco Holiday Workshops (10-18)
Join Kinetika Bloco for their holiday workshops aimed at young people aged 10-18 years old who have an interest in learning to play the drums, woodwind, brass and steel pan. Young people will play together and create a live music performance they can be proud of. No experience needed.

Iconic Steps Upcoming Courses: Screen Writing Mindfully (19 -35) and Music Video Production (16-25)
Iconic Steps have several upcoming free courses with the aim to raise diverse talent.
Screenwriting Mindfully: Wednesdays and Fridays February 23 – March 11. Eligibility: must be ages 19-35, unemployed and a Lambeth Resident
Music Video Production: 28 February – March 4. Eligibility: must be ages 16 – 25 and a Lambeth or Newham Resident.

Vacancies with Get Set UK
Get Set UK have secured a range exciting roles, rolling in every week, working with companies including McDonalds, Nando’s and SKY. Get Set also specialise in roles within the Hotel sector with vacancies in roles such as housekeeping.
Eligibility: must be unemployed, not on any other ESF funding program (employability based). Please ensure all clients being sent over have RTW documents / a CV and willing to work.

Spear Programme (Clapham Junction and Kennington)
The next programme starts on 1st March
Spear Foundation: This phase involves one-to-one and group coaching; job-skills matching; coaching on work ready mindsets; job application support – including CV and Cover Letter; interview training; communication and presentation techniques and practice; confidence and motivation development.
Spear Career: Twelve months of personalised coaching to enable career progression; intensive into-work support; specialist job opportunities for Spear candidates; job application workshops, in-work support; one-to-one career coaching to help support young people in work.

Age UK Kickstart Opportunities
Age UK have several opportunities as part of the Kickstart scheme. The scheme offers 6 months contracts on 25 hrs per week for 16 to 24-years-old residents who are in receipt of Universal Credit. Referrals onto Kickstart can be made only through DWP Work Coaches. Young people interested in Kickstart roles will therefore need to contact their DWP Work Coach with the vacancy details and ask to be referred in. The deadline date:28 February 2022.
Lambeth Council Kickstart Opportunities
Closing Date: 28 February.
Lambeth Council have new and exciting Kickstart roles available for 16 to 24-year-old Lambeth residents who are in receipt of Universal Credit. Roles are part time (25 hours per week) at London Living Wage.
Opportunities are available in areas such as Research, Data Monitoring, Communications, Health Services and much more!
