 Baytree Centre - Coding Club Volunteer
Computer coding whilst young enables children to develop confidence and problem solving skills, boost imagination and become potential innovators.
Girls at Baytree use the online Scratch Coding programme along with Scratch coding cards to design games and projects working independently and as a group. We are seeking a volunteer to lead this popular and engaging club for girls aged 8 -11.
Skills in IT or computing are desired, but as Scratch is very user friendly, and easy to navigate, being particularly strong in IT is not a necessity. However, knowledge of using the internet as a resource tool and basic IT skills will do, ongoing support and training will be provided.

Do you like to "do" art? Enjoy making new friends? Come and have fun and a light lunch - Painting the Lambeth Walk, Oi! - with community film, media and design education and training charity, Creative Sparkworks. They will be on the Lambeth Walk, every Friday from 10.30-1pm creating some brilliant artwork for Lambeth Walk Square - Email them to join in

Flash Consulting is a fun and efficient way to bring about change.
Link UP London's Flash Consulting events match Skilled Volunteers with expertise to Social Good Organisations in a one-off consultancy session, that lasts 1 hour.
Each Flash Consulting event hosts multiple 1:1 matches of Skilled Volunteers and Social Good Organisations. Volunteers contribute their skills/knowledge to a good cause and organisations access professional advice in a structured environment.
The event usually focuses on one skill area that we know charities are in need of, based on our ongoing work in the community. In the past Link UP have run events on Digital Marketing / Social Media, Organisational Development, Communications and Strategy.
In 2021 Link UP held 5 different Flash Consulting sessions engaging 47 Social Good Organisations and 68 Skilled Volunteers. Their volunteers were of senior to mid-level calibre, and brought a wealth of professional experience to their 1:1 sessions! Why not join them?
 Helpers Needed at Brixton Rec Food Hub
Healthy Living Platform is a Charity offering activities that benefit the health and well-being of the community.
To help families during COVID-19, Healthy Living Platform set up an emergency food hub inside Brixton Rec which arranges for surplus food to be distributed to local community centres.
Volunteers are needed to help inside the hub, packing and moving crates of food and unloading/loading delivery vans.
There are short morning and afternoon shifts available - three hours in the morning, two in the afternoon

Vaccination Marshals Needed Across Lambeth
Community Pharmacies across Lambeth are providing crucial vaccination and booster access. They are looking for the support of Vaccination Marshals who are an essential part of this activity, ensuring the smooth running of activities, helping to ensure the safe flow of people being vaccinated, from the time they arrive to the time they leave, checking temperatures, preparing them for the vaccination, and making sure that patients leave safely with their vaccination cards.
