The Baytree Centre Women's Service - Mentoring & Befriending support
The Baytree Centre is an educational charity for women and girls based in the heart of Brixton.
They are currently recruiting volunteers to provide mentoring and befriending support to women accessing their adult service. Baytree's Women’s Service is committed to providing a warm, friendly and supportive space for women from all backgrounds.
In this rewarding and mutually beneficial opportunity you will provide one to one support to women to increase their sense of social inclusion and reduce isolation.
Most of the women requiring this support are already attending ESOL classes at Baytree so the focus of these sessions will be befriending, English conversation practice and providing basic information and support to access services. Due to the nature of our work with vulnerable women and girls we only accept female applicants.

The Queens Platinum Jubilee Activities 3-Month Project
Notting Hill Genesis are looking for creative volunteers in the 3-month lead-up to and including the Platinum Jubilee celebration dates of 2nd-5th June 2022.
We have 3 extra care homes in the areas: West Norwood, Clapham Common and Stockwell. We are looking for volunteer/s for each scheme and are flexible with the weekly session day/time (ideally between Monday – Friday, 9-5pm).
We are planning to start the planning in February so would love to have you onboard to hear ideas from residents and staff members as well as your own. Over the 3-month period, we would like you to do weekly creative activities such as painting cake stands, making bunting/decorations, organising and helping with a Jubilee competition etc.
We are looking for volunteers who can take ownership of this Jubilee project and are aware of the diverse ways we help our residents e.g. dementia-friendly, inclusive ideas for people with all abilities and cultures.
We'd love to hear from you!
Age UK Home Cooks
Home Cooks is a service designed by MyNeighbour to support members of our local community who may not have access to a hot meal, for all sorts of reasons.
They are looking for volunteers who love cooking and can deliver a meal to someone in their local community. This could be a one-off meal, a weekly meal, every couple of weeks, even twice a week – it’s completely up to you to decide who you would like to cook for, and when, based on your favourite foods, your availability and where you are located.
Do you have your pinny at the ready?
