Hello,
Next week COP26 begins in Glasgow. The 26th UN Climate Conference will bring together 196 nations to make commitments to limit global heating to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels. We'll be there to make sure Lambeth and London's voice is heard on the world stage.
Local climate groups and residents are also taking action to show world leaders in Glasgow what change is needed at a local level. Read on for activities you can get involved in, from cycling schemes to community food growing.
Keep your eyes peeled for a special social media campaign featuring Lambeth's Citizens' Assembly members, follow us on Instagram and Twitter to see what they have to say.

COP26 is certainly not all about "world leaders" or even "local leaders".
There's a Global Day of Action on 6 November. The COP26 Coalition has set up local hubs for citizens and organisations to get together to push for climate justice - this means putting those least to blame, but most affected by climate change, first.

Norwood Forum is hosting a special community conversation 'Climate change and us' on 6 November 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the South London Theatre.

We've announced that two new low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) consultations for Tulse Hill and Streatham Hill will begin on 15 November.
Pre-registration is now open to receive updates and notifications on either scheme. The consultations are a chance for you to provide feedback on the schemes, suggest improvements or highlight related issues in your neighbourhood before we make a final decision.

In 2020 we introduced a number of new School Street schemes. These schemes are now moving to an Experimental Traffic Order and we want your views on this. The consultation runs from 14 June to 14 December.
