August already! Summer activities are well underway. Do you have time to help out? There is of course plenty of Vaccine Marshalling to be done, but also help needed at some of the vibrant kids summer programs happening in Lambeth...
Performing Arts Volunteers with The Boury Academy
The Boury Academy is a performing arts CIC based in Oval and working this summer with Lambeth Council as part of the Summer of Fun.
They need some extra helping hands to assist with chaperoning, lunchtimes and backstage at showtime for their upcoming week of activities, 16th to 20th August.
Duties will include helping stage classes in dance, drama, singing, musical theatre and technical theatre.
Hours will be: 10am - 4pm Monday - Thursday then 10am -6.15pm Friday.
All volunteers will hold an enhanced DBS check (must be dated within the last three years and they would need to send this over in advance / be registered on the update system).

Age UK Home Cooks
Home Cooks is a service designed by MyNeighbour to support members of our local community who may not have access to a hot meal, for all sorts of reasons.
They are looking for volunteers who love cooking and can deliver a meal to someone in their local community. This could be a one-off meal, a weekly meal, every couple of weeks, even twice a week – it’s completely up to you to decide who you would like to cook for, and when, based on your favourite foods, your availability and where you are located.
Please get in touch to find out more.
Vaccine Marshalls at Westbury Chemists
Westbury's Chemist on Streatham High Road is continuing to vaccinate Lambeth residents for Covid-19, with community pharmacies providing an essential community service as the age range for vaccination continues to fall.
They’re hoping to cover three four-hour shifts every day, including weekends. Volunteers will help to ensure the safe flow of people being vaccinated, from the time they arrive to the time they leave - checking patients are on the appointment list, checking temperatures, preparing them for the vaccination room, and making sure that patients leave safely with their vaccination cards.
If you have any spare time in the next week, click here to sign up for a session - or maybe even two!
