Lambeth: Success in campaign to raise Windrush Scandal compensation
The Government has announced fairer compensation for victims of the Windrush Scandal after campaigning on behalf of those affected by policies which saw hundreds of people wrongly threatened with deportation.
Lambeth Council joined campaigners earlier this year in calling on the government to increase its support for those affected by the Windrush Scandal, and has run local legal counselling sessions in partnership with the Black Cultural Archives to help people get the compensation they were due.

The Carers Card helps Lambeth carers connect with resources to help with caring unpaid for a friend or family member due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or addiction.

Lambeth Tech Aid
At the moment, there are hundreds of people stuck at home without a suitable device to access the internet to communicate with loved ones, access educational resources and essential online services, or even to get some basic entertainment.
Lambeth Tech aid collect devices people no longer need (principally computers, tablets and mobile phones), remove all data, ensure they are in good working order and deliver them to people in need, identified through local schools, women’s aid groups, disability, refugee and other community organisations.
