Lambeth children need more people like you
Fostering means taking a child into your home and welcoming them into your family. This is likely to be at a difficult time when they will need a lot of love, support, and stability. Our carers are all different but share the same passion - to see local children grow and thrive, no matter what their circumstances. If you share this same ethos and are in a position to welcome a child into your home, we'd love to hear from you.
When you foster for Lambeth you become part of a large community of local carers. And our team of dedicated social workers will support you every step of the way.

"My allocated social worker has been amazing. Every contact with the team has been excellent. I can’t fault them, they’ve been so supportive.” – Sarah
"However difficult it can be, it is the most incredibly rewarding thing to do. To be able to just give some of your experiences, your love and support to a vulnerable child.” – Robert and Charles
“People who want to do fostering, go for it. Because at the end of the day you’re helping someone in need.” – Joan
Meet Michael and Michael
Michael and Michael live in Clapham with their dog Andrew. They previously fostered for a private fostering agency, and when they decided to return to fostering, they chose Lambeth, because they wanted to give back to the community they live in.
Meet Doan
Doan is married and lives in Kennington. She has been fostering for Lambeth for 10 years and is passionate about the difference carers make to the lives of young people. Doan supports Lambeth's aim to grow our network of foster carers and helps new foster carers by mentoring them.
