Happy Thursday! This week we have volunteering opportunities from JAGS and Healthy Living Platform.
Below you can see lovely Syan helping Gloria with her shopping via OnHand. Thank you, Syan!
JAGS
JAGS is an Acronym of James Andre Godfrey Smartt-Ford, and a youth focused organisation, set up by James's mother, Tracey Ford, following his tragic murder. James was attending a friend's birthday party inside Streatham Ice-skating Rink, on a busy Saturday evening, when he was shot in front of over 300 people. He did not live to see his 18th birthday. Through the delivery of co-educational and life-skills training for young people in local communities, JAGS works across neighbouring South London boroughs including Croydon, Lambeth, Merton and Wandsworth to raise awareness, build resilience of parents and children through community cohesion.
JAGS require help with their HR, particularly around recruitment, updating their HR policies and creating an induction pack for their staff. The volunteering will happen online and a maximum of 3 hours per week would be necessary.

Healthy Living Platform
Volunteers to help with local food deliveries are needed. Healthy Living Platform is a social enterprise offering activities which benefit the health and wellbeing of the community. To help families during COVID-19, Healthy Living Platform has been delivering nutritious hot meals to families. If you live near Brixton, are available Mon/Tues/Thurs afternoons, generally 2.30-4.30pm, Healthy Living Platform would love to hear from you! Bicycle deliveries are our preferred means of transport, but also happy for deliveries to be made by foot or car.
To volunteer with them, please sign up here.
Thank you for your continued support and have a lovely end of the week.
