Friday 14 February, 7pm. Brixton Library
Join the Radical Readers reading group to discuss Homosexuality: power and politics by Gay Left Collective.
After the leading organisations of 1970s radical sexual politics - the Gay Liberation Front and the Gay Marxist Group - imploded or dissolved, the Gay Left Collective formed a research group to make sense of the changing terrain of sexuality and politics writ large. This anthology combines the very best of their work, exploring masculinity and workplace organising, counterculture and disco, the survivals of Victorian morality and the onset of the HIV/AIDS crisis. For a copy of the book and to join the discussion please contact the library on 020 7926 1056.

Friday 21 February, 7pm. Clapham Library
Snow Q is a re-imagining of Hans Christian Andersen’s much-loved fable, The Snow Queen, combining poetry, original music and visuals. At the centre of Snow Q are lifelong friends Gerda and Kai, two lost young people. When winter comes, ice enters Kai’s heart and when Kai disappears, Gerda embarks on a quest to rescue their lost friend, meeting a wise, at times acerbic, Crow who tells stories in an extraordinary hybrid language of English and Polish.
