Tenants can make huge savings on contents insurance
It’s a good idea to consider what a home contents insurance policy would cover you for in order to help you make an informed decision on whether you need one.
Contents insurance is designed to help protect your possessions. No matter how careful you are, there’s always a risk that your personal possessions could be broken, damaged or stolen so home contents insurance can help provide peace of mind should the worst happen.
To help you decide whether home contents insurance is right for you, we have teamed up with Thistle Tenant Risks and their Crystal Home Contents Insurance Scheme who provide specialist Tenants Contents Insurance policies. Cover can be taken out from £1.02 a fortnight for a £4,000 sum insured (available to all tenants), there’s no excess, no need for special door and window locks, and flexible pay as you go options. Visit our contents insurance page for more information on how to apply.

Over the past year, we’ve agreed over 80 action plans with estate residents. Estate action plans (EAP) make it clear what’s being done and who the key contacts are on estates. We’ve launched a new website where you can see your EAP.
If you’d like to be involved in developing estate action plans please join the Lambeth 500 and ask to have your housing officer contact you.
