Housing Policies Consultation

diverse group of people sitting down

Lambeth is developing its housing management policies. These concise documents are there to give a guide to officers when they make decisions and ensure that a consistent approach is taken.

We’d like your input. This is a new initiative and it’s an area we would like residents to be more involved in. We’ll see how well it works and then come to a view on the best approach in the future.

We’ve been looking at the policies on mutual exchange, discretionary tenancies, joint tenancies, introductory tenancies and internal transfers. There is a lot of overlap as they are all about setting up new tenancies. We’ve written a short 4 question survey to help inform these policies.

If you’re interested in contributing please complete the survey by 27 May 2019.

Resident Assembly

The feedback report for our annual Resident Assembly is now available on our website. You can also find information from our major works and tenant assemblies.

Blooming Lambeth Awards

We are looking for residents to nominate gardens or green projects for this year’s Blooming Awards such as above’s Lairdale Estate which won the best Ivor Picardo community food project last year. Categories include best community garden, best individual garden as well as the Ivor Picardo award for best community food growing. The full list of categories and nomination forms are available on the Incredible Edible Lambeth website £100 prize for each category winner. Closing date 1 June 2019.

Work you’ve done so far

  • Communal repairs – you responded to a survey to help the Communal Repairs Task and Finish Group scrutinise the service
  • ASB panel – 16 residents volunteered and recruitment to this panel is now closed. Meetings will commence in Spring 2019.
  • Street property consultation – residents of street properties were consulted on creation of a street property panel
