Protect your home contents with new affordable insurance

ci

If you're a homeowner who has bought a council property, you can benefit from our new home contents insurance offer.

Some people don’t take out home contents insurance because they wrongly believe their buildings insurance protects what’s inside their home. As a housing provider, we can secure lower costs for you from a trusted provider, with insurance at the same costs as for tenants, offering benefits including costs from as little as £19 to insure up to £4,000 worth of contents for 12 months; no excess; no higher premiums after making a claim; and flexible pay as you go options:

2019-2020 estimated service charges

money

Each year, we estimate the cost of day-to-day maintenance of our buildings and estates during the coming financial year. All service charge estimates and major works costs went out before the start of financial year 2019-2020, helping homeowners with more time to query the charges or to arrange payment.

Do it online

ga

Visit our new web page to find available garages and costs for weekly rent. You don’t have to live on the estate to rent a garage.

  • If you call us from a mobile, you can now take part in a text survey to let us know how your experience was.  During the 2018-2019 financial year our homeownership teams answered over 80% of 52,852 calls within 5-10 seconds.
  • Lambeth has spent over £490m improving its homes, estates and streets since 2012, to bring our homes up to the Lambeth Housing Standard.  View the full programme of upcoming works for 2019-20 online.

bike

Lambeth provides cycle storage on the street, using cycle hangars. We can also provide cycle storage facilities on estates by converting underused existing space or installing storage in the form of cycle hangars or lockers. Visit our website to request cycle storage where you live.

Performance targets for 2019-20

We consulted residents to review our performance and proposed targets for financial year 2019-20. The review gave residents a better understanding of how we measure performance and as a result of feedback received we have updated some of our targets:

  • An average of 10.5 days to do a responsive repair
  • 95% percent of residents reporting that contractors were polite and helpful
  • 95% percent of residents reporting that contractors left their home clean and tidy
