We're so excited to be able to share Library Adventures, our new year-round reading for pleasure programme for children aged 4-11, with you soon!
You'll be able to see our fabulous artwork appearing in libraries across Kirklees this month. Which of the 6 exciting themes will your local library be starting with? It could be Animal Planet, Space Explorer, Oceans, Rainforest, Spooky or Magical Lands. These are all interests chosen by local children and you will be able to enjoy every theme across the year at your local library.
We've been busily creating extra content for the free Adventurer Packs. They'll be arriving in July so you'll be able to start your reading journey any time from then onwards. Remember it's a year-round journey, so if you've got a really busy summer planned, don't worry, you'll be able to explore, discover, create and read in the colder months too!
Have a peak at our fantastic new booklist for the Rainforest theme. It links to our catalogue so you can reserve your top picks for free and collect them from your local library.

Books can be powerful tools to help us understand the world. For thousands of years, stories have been our way of making sense of the world and our place in it. They help us better understand other people, and ourselves too.
Books by and about refugees can help us see the refugee experience through the eyes of individual people, rather than just as a faceless mass as often depicted in the media. By telling personal stories books can help us understand the human impact of forced migration and displacement. All of which can help us grow our compassion and inspire us to take action.
Love Reading 4 Kids has compiled an excellent collection of books which appeal to a wide range of ages and are perfect to help initiate a discussion as a family to explore what it really means to escape your home and seek refuge elsewhere.
