COVID-19 Rates In Kirklees Rising Significantly
  Kirklees Council’s Director of Public Health has issued a stark warning to the whole borough, with rates of COVID-19 and the number of deaths now rising significantly and pressure growing on health services.
Remembering our heroes this year
 We are encouraging residents to stay at home and tune-in to an online Remembrance Sunday service – with local landmarks also lighting up red as the borough remembers its heroes in a different way this year.
Enhancing children’s literacy with new build library
 Birkby and Fartown will see work commence on the construction of a new library building from next week.
 A new specialist supported living development in Batley for people with learning disabilities and autism has now been completed.
Kirklees Libraries will be closed for borrowing during the lockdown period starting 05 November.
