Hello - Welcome back to Staying Healthy!
How have you been coping with the heat this week? Sunny weather is lovely, but it's not always easy to sleep in hot weather (we're not used to it!), so If you’re struggling why not try these tips from the BBC? Our favourite is the socks in the fridge idea. 😊
We haven't beaten the virus...yet, so as we continue to work together as a community to fight Covid-19, you can stay up to date with any local developments on our Kirklees Together news website and keep track of new restrictions and useful information.
Exam results - self care for young people

After months of waiting and lots of hard work, results day can be a nerve-wracking experience. Whether you have just received your A-Level results, or you’re waiting to find out about your GCSE’s, have a look through the BBC Bitesize Results day self-care kit. You will find useful tips on what to do next whether you have received the grades you want or not. Best of luck everyone!

Get fit for free!

You don't need a gym membership or expensive kit to keep fit. By choosing to walk (which has multiple health benefits) to the shops instead of driving, or taking the stairs where possible, you can improve your fitness bit by bit. Why not have a go at throwing a frisbee or having a good kick-around in the park? Get some inspiration to 'get fit for free' from the NHS.
Wishing you the best of health, take care of yourself and others.
Stay safe and be kind,
Your friends at Kirklees Council.
