Hello! Welcome back to ‘Staying Healthy’
We aren’t going to beat coronavirus tomorrow, but we can do our best to stop the spread today. The small actions we all take now will make the difference in our fight against coronavirus.
Wash your hands regularly, for at least 20 seconds using soap and water, wear a face covering on public transport and in shops, and always keeping your distance - at least 2 metres - from people outside your household. This is the power that we all have to keep local infection rates low and get back to a new normal, safely.
Another key part you can play is to self-isolate if you have any coronavirus symptoms, these include a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to your sense of smell/taste. Request a test immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
Find out what support is available if you need to self-isolate or speak to our Community Response Team on 0800 456 1114.
Vaccines are vital

As we focus on defeating Covid-19, we mustn’t become complacent about vaccinating against preventable diseases. It's important that you and your family still have routine vaccinations. They protect against serious and even deadly illnesses like meningitis. GPs are making sure appointments happen safely so there is no need to wait. Contact your practice for more information.

Move more with One You

How much do you move around in the day? Go on be honest. When we move more, we feel happier and our body does too. It can be difficult to remember to move around if you are stuck at a desk or working from home, but it’s important to get up every 20 minutes and move your body if you can. For inspiration and help to get moving, visit One You and move more!
