Read Kirklees From Home: July 3 - 8

Hello out there.
You'll be pleased to know that there's a hashtag week coming up, #Health Information Week. Less pleased perhaps that you are still unable to visit one of our libraries in person (sad face emoji). There's an update on the situation below, along with information on how to make the most of the free online learning that's available, how to keep yourself safe whilst online and a huge smiley face emoji for one of our library staff.

As ever, underlined text in blue and most of the images are links to web pages.Click or select to go to that page. Read, enjoy, keep in touch and stay safe.

Kirklees Libraries: Recovery

We are coloured blocks

Kirklees Libraries

"have pulled out all the stops to provide an engaging online resource during the lockdown period. We urge people to continue to access the vast range of eAudio and eBook titles available through our Overdrive collection at: kirklees.overdrive.com/

Details of a vast array of online groups, activities and resources are all listed on our website at: www.kirkleeslibraries.co.uk/resources

As lockdown restrictions change, we are working hard on how and when we can offer even more library services. We want to make sure anyone who uses our service can stay safe and that we can reach as many Kirklees residents as possible.

Stay tuned as we will be posting further updates soon! We still haven’t got the final green light to start the recovery process, but will let you know when this happens."

For now: NO KIRKLEES LIBRARIES ARE OPEN

#Health Information Week

Health Information POster with dates

Health Information Week (July 6 - 9)
is a national, multi-sector campaign promoting high-quality information for patients and the public. High quality health information can have a huge impact on people’s ability to stay healthy and manage illnesses effectively, giving them a better quality of life. We all need information that we can trust, particularly in this time of coronavirus and public libraries are still one of the most trusted places for people to find that information.

As ever, we've put together a selection of titles in the collection below. Click on the image to view the full range. Katie has also collated resources under the Wellbeing section of www.kirkleeslibraries.co.uk/resources
