Library Adventures from Home: 15th April 2020

Sunshine

We hope that you all managed to enjoy some important family time together over the Easter bank holiday weekend. It's so lovely to see the sun shining, making us feel hopeful and for those of us lucky enough to pop out for our daily exercise, seeing the rainbows in people's windows (such as this one by Jake, aged 8). Keep displaying your rainbows, staying in when not exercising or doing essential shopping, keep thanking the NHS and ALL the other millions of people out there working in the food, retail and delivery industries (amongst others) to keep as safe and fed! Don't be scared, keep similing and we'll be together again before you know it!

As always, we've been working hard (from home) to collect fantastic online resources to share. Check them out on our website: www.kirkleeslibraries.co.uk. We've also been busy adding to our e-books catalogue and now have well over 20,000 titles.

Book Review of the Week

Boy holding up Moo la la book

Samuel reviews Moo La La by Stephanie Shaw

Samuel, aged 6, says … "I love Moo la la because it is about a cow that wants to go shopping and it is very funny."

To experience this fantastic children’s story for yourself head over to Libby where you can borrow this book as either an e-book or an e-audio book as well as checking out all the other wonderful children's books available.

You can find copies of Moo La La in our Overdrive collection.

We'd love to publish your reviews in our weekly newsletter. To get involved, send them to:
