Get Into UX Design Programme *closing soon*
The Prince’s Trust | 18–30-year-old LIFT residents | 10-week skills programme | 20 March start | Applications close 24 February
Free 10-week skills programme geared towards helping you launch a career in User Experience (UX).
What is that? Basically, what makes you pick Spotify over Apple music, or Skyscanner over Lastminute.com. It's very creative, and UX designers work to improve the 'feel' of websites, apps etc. Starting wages are £22k, but with experience the average wage is £54k. Once you have applied you will be invited to a Taster Day on 2 March, where you will get a chance to find out more about the programme and decide if it's the right fit for you.
We do not have any requirement with regards to education or prior training, but you must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest for launching a career in UX.

Technician role at Shoreditch Town Hall

Welcoming over 70,000 people through their doors every year, Shoreditch Town Hall is a leading independent cultural, live events and community space housed in one of the grandest former civic buildings in the capital.
The Technician is a key front-facing role at Shoreditch Town Hall, responsible for supporting the Production Manager on both the practical and administrative delivery of all activity including events (conference, product launches, dinners and parties, filming, and rehearsals) and the cultural programme (theatre, live music, dance, comedy, cabaret, talks, workshops and bar).
This role will involve:
- To support the Production Manager on the safe and efficient realisation of all technical aspects of all events and cultural activity at Shoreditch Town Hall - To provide administrative support to the Production Manager as required - To adopt a strong health and safety culture within the venue, actively promoting safe working by all. - To keep up to date with current lighting, sound, AV and stage technology. - To work alongside and support all incoming production technical staff.

National Careers Event – For International Women's Day

To commemorate International Women's Day and National Careers Week, Hackney Council and LIFT will host an exciting digital and tech-themed event at Hackney Town Hall on 9 March. The theme of the event is to encourage you to come and learn about future jobs.
A variety of employment workshops and talks will be led by women in technology. We are pleased to announce that one of our partners, Google, will be present on the day to give a talk about the world of technology. Employers such as Amazon and LinkedIn will also be present on the day, sharing advice on how to land a job.
We welcome all residents of Hackney to come and join us, this is a ticketed event so please register your place to be allowed entry. Refreshments will be provided through the evening until event close.

CATALYST Assistant Sound Designer

Are you someone who: Has a desire to pursue a career as a sound designer and is of a background underrepresented at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre and in the wider theatre industry? We define this as artists who experience barriers to work and training due to ethnicity, gender and/ or low socio-economic background and as being D/deaf, disabled or neurodiverse.
The role is an opportunity to assist the Sound Designer to realise the sound design for a Donmar production. The role is an opportunity to contribute to, and gain insight into, a professional production process and develop your skills and artistic voice.
Essential criteria: - Experience of creating your own work for small-scale events or fringe productions - If you have attended university or a drama school, experience of creating your own work outside of your course - An understanding of your creative process and artistic voice - At least one element of your identity or an intersection of identities that are underrepresented at the Donmar and in the wider theatre industry

Digital Media Assistant (Entry-level)
