Intro to Coding programme
LIFT and OneTech | 6-week skills programme | Every Thursday, 17:00-19:00 | 23 February - 30 March | Applications close 6 February
Intro to Coding is a beginner's programme designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to start a career in the thriving world of software development. No prior coding experience is needed. An understanding of GCSE level maths would be beneficial.
Over 6 weeks, you will gain core skills in software development (including HTML, CSS, Javascript and NODE) and build a portfolio to show to prospective employers. Plus, you will get enhanced access to advanced courses, entry-level jobs or apprenticeships with leading software development company Softwire.
Learning outcomes: - To build front-end developer skills with basic knowledge of back-end process - To develop a digital portfolio, ready to show prospective employers - To gain confidence in applying to junior tech /apprentice software developer roles

Tower Hamlets, Hackney Council, and The Strive Group are gearing up to deliver a free Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ) Skills Training Programme. The programme will give participants the opportunity to develop creative skills that are necessary for the digital age, as well as provide access to progression opportunities including: Mentorships; Work Placements; Apprenticeships; Job opportunities.

Creativity Works: Audio Production is a full-time, six-week, intensive training course led by leading audio producers and industry partners to enable Londoners aged 18-24 to learn audio production skills, build a blended network of talented peers and industry leaders, and land a role working in-house or freelance in audio and podcasting– one of the UK's fastest growing creative digital industries.
We don’t mind about qualifications or past paid experience. We just want to see your passion and interest in the industry plus a creative can-do attitude and desire to learn. Software Engineer Apprentice

As a Degree Apprentice Software Engineer, you’ll study for a Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship with Software Engineering specialism. This is an apprenticeship degree course and on successful completion, you’ll receive a degree from one of our university partners (completion is required to retain the role).
Entry Requirements - You’ll need to achieve three A-Levels grades with grades BBC or above. One of these subjects will need to be STEM related. We’re also looking for those who are passionate about technology and coding. You’ll also need five GCSE’s at grades 4-9 (C or above), including English Language and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.

We have a vacancy for a Night Shift Medical Laboratory Assistant in our Blood Sciences department at the Halo, 1 Mabledon Place, Central London. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the night duty rota, participating in shifts to support the needs of the 24/7 service and covering the disciplines of Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology and Virology. This is an excellent opportunity to further and develop individual skills, knowledge and experience within this multidisciplinary laboratory.
No previous experience in a lab is required - highly interested and enthusiastic people are encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided.

Front of House Assistant

The new Front of House Assistant roles at Young V&A will play a pivotal part in providing an exceptional, hands on, and joyful visitor experience. Front of House Assistants will work across all front of house functions including welcome, retail, galleries, membership, exhibitions, events, and the learning studio check in. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent visitor experience, highlighting our commercial offers, and making sure every visitor feels welcome and engaged with the Young V&A.

Half Moon Theatre Trainee Programme
Training programme | Tower Hamlets Residents | 18-25 year olds | Training and paid work placement (£11.95 per hour)
The Half Moon Theatre have created a paid traineeship Programme (paid at London Living Wage) to help local residents into a career within the Theatre Industry. Open to Residents aged 18-25, they will have the opportunity to learn various skills including Front of house work, (Supporting the public when they attend shows) and Technical Work (lightning and Sound for performances)
