Top Covid tips as restrictions ease

Today’s further easing of restrictions is a welcome boost for many of us. But, we're not out of the woods yet so let’s keep going so that we stay safe and on track to get to the next stage.

Meeting indoors

1. So, if you'll be mixing with more people, meeting outside is still best. If you are meeting indoors you can do this is in groups of up to six, or two households, but do make sure the space is well ventilated by opening windows and doors as this helps to disperse any virus.

2. Taking regular no symptom Covid-19 tests will be even more important, even if you've had the vaccine. Find out where you can collect a home testing kit or how to visit one of our other testing sites.

3. Washing our hands and cleaning surfaces regularly will help to remove virus particles and stop coronavirus variants.

4. The vaccine has played a huge part in us getting to today’s welcome milestone. With eligibility and other guidance changing regularly, keep an eye on the NHS website for the latest. If you’re eligible but haven’t yet had your first dose, you can use their postcode checker to help find the closest clinic for you. If you’re waiting to get your second appointment, you should book it in the same way as your first. So, if you booked on the NHS online system, do the same for your second appointment. Or, if you got it through your GP, wait for them to contact you about your second appointment.

Whatever your situation, there is support available for you if you need practical help (including getting to appointments), have concerns or queries or just want to talk. Call We are Islington on 020 7527 8222.
