We Are Islington

A huge thank you from all of us

Image of Cllr Richard Watts

We’ve now got through a month of lockdown, and I want to give a huge thank you to all Islington's residents, businesses and voluntary sector partners for playing your part in this ongoing crisis.

I don't doubt that your life - at work and at home - has changed massively. But, the actions you are taking make a huge difference.

To everyone who keeps their distance while out for exercise in the streets, parks and green spaces, thank you. It is because of you we are able to keep these vital lifelines open.

By using our website and social media to find out crucial information, you have helped keep our phone lines open for those who can’t access information any other way.

I also want to give a big thanks to all residents who are helping our frontline bin collection service by separating out their rubbish and recycling, and minimizing food waste where possible.

We know the end of lockdown isn't in sight yet, but - pulling together as a community - we will get through this.
