Could your community organisation support Island families?
Community organisations are invited to apply for funding to support local initiatives tailored to local needs. The funding available has been increased to £115,000 to support projects that will help families and individuals facing food and fuel poverty
Eligible organisations are registered community or voluntary sector organisations, including faith groups, schools, colleges, and early years settings. Bids from town, parish and community councils particularly welcome.
- Projects and activities must help provide vulnerable families with food, utilities and keeping warm.
- Applications close this Friday 9 September 2022.
Please note: An evaluation panel will meet on a weekly basis to consider applications for funding. Applicants will be contacted directly with the outcome of their application. Approved applications will be funded in approximately one week of the panel decision.

Final updates for this Sunday's AJ Bell Tour of Britain
As Sunday approaches the anticipation is building for the largest sporting event to be held on the Island. There are a few things to update you on:
Residents Letter
A letter about the race with local timings should have been delivered to all residents and business starting 27 August. Unfortunately, a number of addresses have not yet had their letter. Royal Mail will hopefully complete the deliveries in the next few days. Information about the Tour of Britain for residents is available on the link below.
Vehicle satellite and navigation apps - use with caution
As the riders progress across the Island, each stretch of road will be closed for short period of time with a rolling road closure.
Due to limitations with technology, satellite navigation systems may show some roads as closed all day along the race route. This is not the case. Please be guided by roadside signs Sunday 11 September. Use navigation systems and apps with caution.
Travel to the race
If you are travelling to the race, please use public transport or the park and ride service. A full spectator guide including park and ride information is on our website.
Keep in touch with all the action on the day
Follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The whole race is being shown on ITV4 so if you can’t make it in person tune in to watch the biggest-ever sporting event to take place on the Isle of Wight.
