An Alphabet of Hull is a fabulous community craft project conceived and coordinated by Hull-based creatives Miranda van Rossum and Hanna Lutkin. The aim of the project was to create 26 individual pieces, one for each letter of the alphabet, each representing a Hull person, place or thing, and to bring them together in a city-wide Alphabet Trail.
Here's the Fred Moore Library Yap & Yarn group, joined by Jean Bishop's son John, standing proud in front of the letter B - dedicated to Jean Bishop AKA the Bee Lady.
You can also find the letter E at the East Park Library. The piece was started at this year's Big Malarkey Festival, where nearly 100 children and their (grand) parents helped to weave part of the background.
