Hello,
We’re so pleased you’re subscribed to Hull Fostering’s monthly newsletter — it’s where we share real stories from our foster carers, community news, and ways you can get involved.
Whether you’ve thought about fostering before or you’re just curious, there’s lots happening this summer to help you learn more. And the best place to start? Our free online information event on Tuesday 15th July at 7.30pm — it’s a friendly, informal way to hear what fostering is really like and ask any questions you might have.
Here’s what’s been going on in our community and how you can get involved.

If you’ve ever wondered what fostering is really like, our online information event on Tuesday 15th July at 7.30pm is made for you. You’ll hear directly from foster carers, learn about the children who need homes here in Hull, and have the chance to ask any questions from the comfort of your own home.
This is your opportunity to find out if fostering could fit your life – no pressure, no obligation.

Jessie is rewriting the rulebook: aged just 22, she’s become Hull’s youngest foster carer. Her story is a reminder that fostering isn’t about age – it’s about care, commitment, and having room in your heart and home.

We’re hosting a fun, free charity ice hockey match this summer – and you’re invited! It’s a brilliant, informal way to meet some of our foster families and staff, and see for yourself what Hull Fostering is all about.

Did you spot our Father’s Day message in the Hull Daily Mail? We wanted to shine a light on all those who “show up always” for children – whether dads, foster carers, or other amazing male role models.
Hull Fostering is now proud to sponsor West Hull ARLFC – a community club with heart, pride, and shared values. This partnership reflects our belief that children thrive when they feel supported, included and valued – and this is exactly what foster carers do every day.
We know that fostering isn’t something people decide on overnight — but even a first step like joining our online info event can help you understand what’s involved and whether it might be right for you.
Hull’s children need more local foster carers — people just like you who can offer a safe, caring home.
So if you’ve ever thought “Could I do that?”, we’d love you to join us online on Tuesday 15th July at 7.30pm.
Thanks so much for reading — and for being part of a community that cares.
