Take Control – Youth Employment Initiative

Fixed Term Contract To 31 July 2019

Hull Training and Adult Education is part of Hull City Council and is one of the major providers of adult education, vocational training and further education in the region with an excellent reputation for delivering quality courses.

We are looking for inspiring and enthusiastic tutors to join our Youth Employment Project, which works with those furthest from the labour market to reengage into education, employment and training. The Youth Employment Initiative works with people aged 16-29 years old who are currently unemployed and need support to access employment, education and Training.

We are looking for individuals who can make a significant contribution to the development and skills of our learners. If you are an organised, creative and enthusiastic team player, able to work flexibly and can contribute to the delivery of outstanding outcomes for learners, we would really like to hear from you.

You should have a relevant teaching qualification and prior experience of teaching young people or adults.

We are looking for tutors with a varied skill set, who have experience of delivering English, Maths, employability or vocational training, both accredited and none accredited.

The project “Take Control “works with individuals who often require intensive support to develop confidence, self-esteem and the ability to make positive life decisions. As part of the role you will be required to offer support and guidance to enable them to access a range of services such as housing, health, childcare and finances in order to remove existing barriers.
