The post holder will support the delivery of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) funded project on behalf of Hull City Council. The ‘Careers Insight Project’ will focus on delivering targeted careers guidance interviews to young people in Hull and bordering East Riding Secondary Schools. The project will target those young people in year 9 and year 10.

The overarching aim of the project will be to raise aspirations, help to increase participation in level 3 post 16 opportunities leading on to level 4 and above.

You will be part of a small team who will ensure the Careers Insight Project is delivered to expected standards and within expected timescales in association with key stakeholders. You will establish and maintain working relationships and processes with secondary schools, the NCOP team and internal Hull City Council leadership staff to ensure appropriate referrals are made to the project. You will produce and maintain effective reports to all stakeholders concerned which ensure a successful project achievement.   

You will carry a caseload of young people to which you will deliver Careers Insight interviews over the duration of the project. You will ensure accurate recording of all young people who have attended a 1-2-1 Careers Insight interview and completed an evaluation.

You will utilise I.T. systems which ensure effective data capture, day to day project oversight and project evaluation.

The post is fixed term until 31st December 2018 (subject to extension).

Service Support is a new service brought together to underpin service delivery by providing effective customer focussed administrative support. This includes arranging meetings and panels, minute taking, basic financial transactions and monitoring, maintaining databases / data entry, acting as the link between customer access channels and the delivery of services through the scheduling of requests for service, elements of interaction with customers, stakeholders, partners and members, and other general administrative functions.

The post holder will provide effective, efficient and customer focussed support services to designated Service Teams ensuring compliance with procedures and practices to support the delivery efficient front line services.  They will also provide support to the Service Support Team Leader as required.

You must have extensive experience of working in an office / administration environment and a history of working in services ensuring excellent customer experiences.
