Hull City Council is recruiting qualified and experienced social workers at grade 8. 

You will join a welcoming service where expectations are high, but you will receive support and supervision to be an excellent practitioner. We have the following permanent vacancies;

Grade 8 Social Worker - Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH) - The EHASH is the single point of contact for professionals or the public where there are concerns about children or young people and their families which need a coordinated response. You will work within a multi-agency staff group consisting of police, social workers, education/ health professionals and Early Help professionals, ensuring that those children and families referred get the right help at the right time from the right service. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to review and assess information quickly and will be required to work closely with EHASH partners to ensure that risk and need is clearly assessed and recorded and actions are passed to the appropriate teams for ongoing assessment and intervention.

Grade 8 Social Worker - Initial Assessment Teams -You will work as part of a team responsible for completing  Social Care Assessments when children and young people are initially referred. The Service is committed to providing a high quality and timely response and you should be a confident practitioner and be able to analyse need and risk in order to formulate the most appropriate plan/intervention in a fast paced environment.

Grade 8 Social Worker - Locality Teams - You will work as part of a team, working with children in need and children in need pf protection who have been assessed as requiring a longer term intervention. This work will also include children in the care of the local authority where plans for permanence are not yet finalised.

Applicants for grade 8 roles must have successfully completed their ASYE year and we are not able to accept applications from newly qualified social workers who have yet to complete.
