Festival of Archaeology

Saturday 21 July

11am - 4pm

Museums Quarter

Dig, delve and discover how archaeologists unearth the past at Hull and East Riding Museum. Get stuck in to craft activities and object handling sessions with fun for all the family.

Explore our amazing collections, sharing the story of Hull and the East Riding from the dinosaurs until the English Civil War. Wander through an Iron Age village, peruse Roman shops and nosey round a Roman villa. Discover Medieval Hull and objects unearthed by archaeologists metres from where you’re standing.

Come and join the adventure of archaeology at this fabulous free event!

Ferens Art Gallery

Join us for stories inspired by our Clangers, Bagpuss & Co exhibition, taking us on journeys with animals, through time and maybe even to space!

Suitable for accompanied children age 3 - 11 years.

Drop-in. Places are limited so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
