As a Supervisor of Civil Enforcement Officers - Parking, you will be required to work as part of a management team. We are looking for an individual experienced in staff supervision and development to deploy with the front line officers on a regular basis to supervise, train and mentor the Civil Enforcement Officers - Parking as they carry out their duties. To carry out personal meetings and routine management of staff including absence management and Personal Performance Development meetings with staff.
You will share responsibility for the daily operation, including the base radio, opening and closing the operation, emergency control, response and problem resolution, investigations and keeping the other members of the management team informed of any areas of concern.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in discharging the City Council’s functions and commitments in relation to managing the Highway Network. Investigating civil parking offences, to undertake enforcement action vehicles in contravention as detailed in the Traffic Management Act 2004 part six.
You will be expected to be able to produce reports using various computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to an appropriate standard.
There is a requirement to work with officers deployed on scooters, any applicants need to be prepared to ride a scooter. Full training with be given to minimum CBT level.
Reporting to the Parking Management and Enforcement Officer, working hours 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, there will be some requirement to work some early / late shifts and some weekends. Any required training and uniform will be supplied.
