The post holder will create and sustain placements for learners within a range of occupational areas and monitor the effectiveness and progression ensuring all learners meet their potential and manage and co-ordinate training with staff, employers and young people and support personal development to support learner achievements and permanent employment.
Relevant experience of engaging with employers, either in sales or work placements, will be an advantage along with a good in-depth understanding of the health and safety issues relevant to the vocational areas.
You should be competent and qualified to at least NVQ3 standard, possess an appropriate qualification outlined in the job description.
You must be highly organised and a good team player and have an awareness and appreciation of the social and educational difficulties facing unemployed young people and ability to offer counselling and guidance skills to support Learners. The ability to supervise groups of individuals, demonstrate occasional leadership qualities and work to deadlines to achieve demanding outcomes is essential.
