Hull is an exciting place to be – with City of Culture 2017; growth in the economy and improving education; there is a sense of optimism in the City.
A good education for all the children and young people of Hull is essential if the City is to realise its ambitions. You will be the lead educationalist in an increasingly diverse school estate. There is a good partnership with schools and providers to further improve the life chances of our children. You will support and develop those partnerships to deliver both the statutory functions and also the focus on standards is maintained.
We are keen to recruit an energetic, determined and rigorous Assistant City Manager. You will lead a range of teams, working with all partners to ensure the delivery of good education. You will also take on the role of the Virtual Head Teacher, working with a team to ensure the educational needs of this cohort are met. Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills are key.
