GB PPP new active substance approval: publication of HSE conclusion and decision on Bixlozone

Applications for the first approval of new active substances in GB are regulated under assimilated Regulation No 1107/2009.

 

Applicant: FMC Corporation as FMC Chemical sprl (“FMC”)

 

Substance: Bixlozone – Herbicidal active substance for the control of a range of broadleaf and grass weeds in cereals, oilseed rape and maize.

 

HSE’s conclusion on bixlozone has been published on our website and concluded that the active substance is expected to meet the approval criteria.

HSE referred its conclusion and intended decision to GB governments, as required under the Agency Agreements between HSE and the individual governments.

 

Decision: Bixlozone is approved as a candidate for substitution in GB, for use in plant protection products.

Bixlozone is now listed in the GB Pesticides Approvals Register (.xlsx)

 

Plant protection products containing bixlozone can be authorised in GB, in accordance with the requirements of assimilated Regulation No 1107/2009.
