WHEC seminar: The likely prevalence of occupational noise induced hearing loss across British industry

Around 1 in 5 of British workers are exposed to noise that could damage hearing.

The Workplace Health Expert Committee (WHEC) will be presenting their latest findings in a seminar on Thursday 28 September 2023, 1.00pm - 2.00pm.


Free webinar: MSDs and whole body-vibration from driving

25 September, 10.30am - 11.30am, online

The webinar will focus on how to effectively manage the risk of MSDs and whole-body vibration from driving.

 

it is aimed at fleet managers, health and safety managers and employers. It will feature experts from HSE who will highlight current guidance and explain the ergonomic principles that help protect workers who drive.

 

The webinar will also mark the launch, and feature a demonstration of, the HSE Back Injury Risk in Drivers (BIRD) tool, which helps employers assess and control the risk of whole-body vibration from driving.

 

The BIRD Tool provides:

  • a simple assessment method that is easy to follow,
  • gives you an indication of your workers level of risk, and
  • advice on how to control your risk.
