New version of the MACRO higher tier drainflow (HTDF) modelling tool for pesticide registration

A new version of HSE's HTDF MACRO tool is now available.

You can download the HSE HTDF MACRO tool (v2.1) on HSE's website.

This new version corrects a minor bug issue in v2.0, where a small number of ZFINT and AMIR parameters were incorrectly being rounded to a whole number, as opposed to two decimal places.

Applicants are encouraged to use v2.1 in their modelling from now on. All HTDF submissions received by HSE will be validated with v2.1 (or later), and you do not need to take any action if you have already submitted modelling using v2.

As a reminder, HSE will stop accepting applications received with modelling conducted with v1.1 of the HSE HTDF tool after 31 May 2023.

GB MRL amendments (adopted March 2023)

There have been recent amendments to the GB maximum residue level (MRL) Statutory Register, setting new statutory levels.

In order to accommodate authorisations in GB, new MRLs have been set in the GB MRL Statutory Register for the following active/commodity combinations:

  • Cyantraniliprole/ various commodities

  • Triclopyr/ products of animal origin

The new MRLs came into force on 9 and 14 March 2023 respectively, as indicated in the GB MRL Statutory Register.

The evaluation reports, reasoned opinions and decision documents supporting the new MRLs are available on the HSE website.
