HSE Health and Work Conference

This interactive, free all-day event will take place virtually and is part of our approach to inspire and promote better prevention, management and control of the common risks and causes of work-related ill-health across Great Britain.
Building on the success of last year’s conference, which saw huge demand, HSE has increased the capacity five-fold to provide 5,000 spaces for delegates.
This year, a session will be run by HSE Specialist Inspectors (Radiation), supported by the HSE radiation policy team.
The session will walk participants through the new process for consent authorisations under IRR17.
The new process will be introduced in 2023. Employers requiring consent from HSE will need to prepare a Safety Assessment.
Facilitated by HSE Specialists, participants will have the opportunity to see how a Safety Assessment should be developed for a representative practice using ionising radiation.
There will also be the chance to connect with peers and delve deeper into other topics that are of interest to you via a selection of other elective workshops on priority areas of health and work.
You’ll learn about present and emerging issues around a number of health and work areas which are on our conference agenda.
