The new National Core Studies impact report highlights how the advances and learning gained during the studies has translated into a legacy of stronger health threat preparedness.
The HSE led PROTECT study is one of six National Core Studies that have played a critical role in informing the UK's COVID-19 response.
Our first combined impact report shows how we are enabling the UK to use health data and research to inform the short and long term responses to COVID-19 and establishing a world-leading health data and research infrastructure for the future.

HSE’s scientists have been working with scientists at the Institute of Occupational Medicine in a study that examined recall ability related to pesticide exposure.
Occupational epidemiological studies on pesticide use commonly rely on self-reported data to assess exposure, but there is little evidence to assess the reliability of these reports.
