The Council is opening local community hub and libraries for longer, including during evenings and weekends.
The changes will increase the number of hours libraries will be open each week with the help of secure, self-access technology.
But first, the Council wants to know when you’d like extended opening hours, how you’d like to use your community hub and library, and what activities and services you’d like to see there.

Schools to save £100,000 on energy bills
 Four Hounslow schools are set to save more than £100,000 a year on energy bills thanks to the installation of solar panels and energy-efficient LED lighting.
The improvements are expected to reduce energy use, cut carbon emissions and create more sustainable learning environments for pupils. This short video sheds more light on the project.
The work forms part of the Council's wider commitment to tackle climate change and support schools to become greener and more energy efficient.
Area forum for Heston and Cranford
Come to an Area Forum event to meet local groups and council officers, hear updates on local projects and have your say on the things that matter to you.
These events are happening across the borough throughout September and October, with the first taking place in Heston next week. It's at Heston Community Centre from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday, 2 September.

 Book an initial assessment to study digital skills, maths and English (including GCSEs), or explore creative courses at Learn Hounslow from September.

Employment support for people with disabilities
 Thinking about work but not sure where to start? Employment support drop-in sessions for people with disabilities are a friendly space where you can talk things through with employment specialists and get help, without an appointment.
Whether you are currently looking for work, already in employment, thinking about changing direction, or simply want to explore your options, please come and have a chat with the Council's Community Provisions team and employment partners, the Shaw Trust.
Sessions are held at Holy Trinity Church, 6 High Street, Hounslow, TW3 1HG on the second Monday of every month from 1pm to 4pm. The next drop-in is on Monday, 14 September.
The team would also like to hear what you think about the service and how they can make the drop-ins more useful and relevant. Your ideas could help decide what topics to cover, what support to provide and how to make the sessions work better for you.

New Thriving Communities Fund Grant - hands up who's interested?
Replacing the previous Revenue Grant, The Sustainability Grant invests in organisations rather than projects. It combines unrestricted funding with tailored support to help local voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations strengthen their resilience, sustainability and capacity.
There are grants of between £10k and £15k available from a pot of £100,000. Applications are welcomed from constituted not-for-profit VCSE organisations that:
- Deliver activities or services in Hounslow
- Primarily benefit Hounslow residents
- Have an annual income of up to £300,000 (although organisations with a higher income may be considered)
