The Council is joining forces with West London NHS Trust and other local authorities to host an online event for World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday, 10 September.
It will run from 12pm to 3pm and bring together professionals, people with lived experience, community organisations and local partners.
The event will raise awareness of suicide prevention and promote the importance of hope, healing and connection.

If you are unemployed and are struggling to find work because of musculoskeletal (MSK) pain, the Shaw Trust has a free, six-month course of one-to-one support that can help.
The MSK Trailblazer programme helps you to build your skills, manage your pain and find employment that fits around your needs.

Local women's wellbeing charity SHEWISE is hosting a free family fun day.
The event is at Convent Way Community Centre on Thursday, 27 August, from 10:30am to 2pm. Activities include arts and crafts, bingo, karaoke and more.
It will be a great opportunity for members of the local community to eat, shop and meet local wellbeing services.
You can speak to Healthwatch Hounslow, Lampton Leisure, Citizens Advice and others.

 Hounslow Adult and Community Education (HACE) has a number of health and wellbeing courses starting soon.
There is everything from gentle and chair yoga to healthy cooking courses, including a Black History Month special on Caribbean food and cooking for a healthy heart at Christmas.

Addiction Recovery Community (ARC) Hounslow will be hosting a Recovery Open Day from 12pm to 4pm on Friday, 18 September.
It promises to be an inspiring afternoon focused on hope, community and recovery.
This year's theme is the power of heart, brain and courage through creative activities, live performances and the opportunity to connect with local community groups.

 Residents aged 18 and over who are unemployed, not in education or training can access support at two community hubs and libraries in Hounslow. This includes those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and care-experienced young people.
Come along for a 15 to 20-minute chat with employment advisors about job searching, improving CVs and completing job applications. Pop into one of these two locations to speak to the friendly team:
- Feltham Community Hub and Library (TW13 4GU) - Thursday, 3 September, 10am - 1pm
- Brentford Community Hub and Library (TW8 8DW) - Friday, 4 September, 10am - 2pm
Support is available for residents facing barriers to finding work, including training and career opportunities.
 The Council plans to develop a new Westbrook short break unit and children with disabilities home at Vicarage Farm Road, a short distance from the existing site in Heston. It would like to hear from the local community about how this could affect them.
The project aligns with the Council's vision for a healthier, safer, and thriving Hounslow and adheres to Green by Design principles.

 Find the right support for your child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Talk to the team in person at one of the monthly SEND drop-in sessions where you can speak to a professional face-to-face for advice and support.
The next session takes place at the Brentford Family Hub (TW8 0BJ) tomorrow, Wednesday, 26 August, from 1pm to 3pm.
 A new service from Each is now open for Black, Asian, minority ethnic and migrant women who are facing domestic abuse and violence. It also supports the children of victims as part of the holistic offering.
Pathways to Safety supports people across Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. It offers family therapy, trauma-informed therapy and support that anyone can access without fears about their immigration status.
Each continues to offer domestic abuse support for all women in West London through existing services.
 The West London Wellbeing and Recovery College runs free courses and workshops for people living, working and/or studying in Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham.
There are courses in a wide range of subjects with a focus on emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. The autumn prospectus has now been published and you can read it now to find a course that best suits your needs.
