Staying safe in the heat
With the Met Office heat alert still in place, we hope that you're all keeping as cool as you can. Thank you to our emergency service and other key worker staff, many of whom have been particularly busy in the heat.
The weekend is looking cooler, but we recommend checking places and transport providers before travelling. Please be safe around open water and equip yourself with the best advice and find safety advice for young children, paddling pools and hot tubs online. Please continue to respect rules about no barbeques in open spaces or on balconies, to prevent fires.
Looking forward, you can sign up for Met Office heat health alerts and the Government's FloodLine alerts, to help prepare ahead of any further extreme weather. And if you're concerned about anyone who's sleeping rough, you can always contact StreetLink
